SOMETHING FANS MAY NOT KNOW: Jason started his career in the outdoor industry as a local outdoor magazine publisher in Maryland while attending college at Towson State University. Upon graduating, he went on to work in advertising sales for Game and Fish Publications and later became an advertising sales director for B.A.S.S. Inc. media group. After a successful stint with B.A.S.S., he started a multi-media company with partners and published a national outdoor adventure sports magazine and website from 1999-2008. He then became a founding partner in a leading brand advertising and marketing content agency specializing in helping national brands reach and impact the outdoor enthusiast market. When the agency was acquired, Jason and his wife Paula embarked on their next adventure and purchased a distressed fish camp on the St. John’s river in 2020. After renovating the Crescent City, Florida five-acre campground and marina property, they sold it to a private equity group. Tournament bass fishing has been a ‘professional hobby’ along the way in his various entrepreneurial endeavors.
